Carrotwood Kennel has relocated from sunny SW FL to Middle TN!
Aussies have been a part of our family life for 14 years now, serving the purpose of farm dog, 4-h project dog, competitive show dogs and most importantly members of the family. For us Temperamant is THE most important aspect of an Australian shepherd, with our busy lifestyle our dogs needed to be able to work with livestock, help the kids gather eggs, tag along with the horses on trail rides, be trustworthy companions on trips to our camp in the Everglades (including an hr ride on an airboat!) and still have the patience to play dress up at the end of the day.

As a 4-H junior just starting out we came home with many learning
experiences and quite a few trophies to boot, including winning 3rd
place All Around Junior at the FL State Fair 2 years in a row, as well
as Grand Champion in Showmanship (out of over 140 entries!). We have participated in Jr. showmanship, obedience, agility, rally,
conformation, dock dogs and herding tests.

UPDATE: After an almost 4 year hiatus from the show ring Carrotwood Aussies had an awesome show weekend at the MOTC AKC Obedience show on April 30-May 1st. We came away with 2 qualifying BN legs for Derby, 2 for Ivy and 2 for Snickers. Snickers also placed 1st on Sat with a 198 1/2 and 4th on Sun with a 197 1/2 with serious competition including an OTCH dog! Not bad for coming out of retirement and having an almost 9 months pregnant handler :-)
