Aussies are part of the family!
We brought home our first Australian Shepherds in 1995 straight off a working cattle ranch in Tampa FL. While the breed has changed a bit since then our Aussies now are the direct descendants of those original cattle dogs. With a large active family and surrounded daily by livestock temperament and stability has always been at the forefront of our breeding program.
We are proud to be a recognized AKC Breeder of Merit.
Champions of Versatility
Acacia started out showing Aussies in 4-H and AKC as a young junior participating in showmanship, obedience, rally, agility and the breed ring. She finished her first obedience titles, earned agility legs, won Top Showman at the FL State Fair and earned AKC Conformation points on both bred-by and owner-handled dogs. She was also introduced to the wonderful sport of Dock Diving and earned Carrotwoods first Dock Diving titles. After graduating she did not compete for many years but the Aussies stayed as family companions and farm dogs. We are back to trialing as of 2021 and have been greatly enjoying not only all the "new" sports but showing with the next generation of junior handler in the form of Jay (Acacia's son). Puppies we have bred have continued to trial despite our break from the ring and to date our lines have produced everything from active therapy dogs to working farm dogs to Agility Trial Champions and the #1 Ranked Aussie at Dock Dogs Worlds in 2016 & 2017.
Health Tested
We follow breed recommended health testing which includes Hips/Elbow OFA, eye exams by ophthalmologists and full genetic panels (including color tests) to ensure the healthiest puppies possible.
